LG Telecom's 3G CMDA License Revoked by Korean Government
July 21, 2006
According to Bloomberg, the Korean government has revoked LG Telecom's 3G CMDA license as the company had not started CDMA services by the end of June 2006. The company obtained the 3G CMDA license in 2002 after the government released 3G WCDMA (Wideband Code Division Multiple Access) licenses in 2000 to its rivals, SK Telecom and KT Freetel.
